This Fiat Topolino dragster finishes 1/4 miles in 9 seconds

You will be surprised, but the heart of this dragster is the Fiat Topolino microcar. As you can see, the silver Topolino is far from its original shape. In fact, it has a fiberglass body that copies original Topolino.

Built by the RCD Race workshop, it has a 112-inch wheelbase thanks to the 4130 cromoly body. The front suspension is an RCD inboard rocker arm, while the rear is a RCD built four link.

Dragster is built specifically for 1/4 mile drag racing, capable of low 9 seconds at 149 miles per hour. Through the hole in the hood is seen Rodeck 6 bolt main 406 cubic inch aluminum small block. Fit with BRODIX heads, new cranks and rods, and an 8 trumpet stack the car is no slouch.

It also fully opens up, just like a Funny Car would, to allow the occupants to get in and out and giving onlookers. The car was quite successful in the early 2000 show scene wining a variety of Best Engineered awards and shows such as the Detroit Autorama.

Now, this Fiat is put up for sale at ericsmusclecars.com and waits for a suitable owner to come and collect it. The requested price of 95k though seems quite high, but according to the owner was invested about 125k.
