Arcimoto Generation 1 Prototype

The first model was built by Arcimoto in 2007. It was an open air 3-wheeler with a configurable rear section. The Generation 1 prototype was very fun to drive and incredibly efficient with space and materials.

The first generation prototype was equipped with two front wheels and single rear wheel, powered by an electric motor via chain drive. The driver is sitting in the middle an has no protection on the sides and above.

A lack of any protection from the elements and other objects limited the appeal and utility of this concept. The 3-wheeler was the first step of the company which led to the SRT and FUV ranges.
