Daihatsu Taft
Daihatsu has released new information about Taft, which will enter the Japanese market in June. This model uses crossovers style. Taft is built on the new unified DNGA platform that Daihatsu engineers developed with Toyota.
The length, width and height of the new key-crossover are 3395, 1475 and 1630 mm, respectively, the ground clearance is 190 mm.
The exterior is made in a deliberately brutal style – “flat” body panels and almost vertical inclination of the front pillars. Daihatsu Taft will be equipped with a 660 cc gasoline engine available in two versions – non-aspirated or turbocharged. Buyers will also be able to choose between front wheel drive or AWD.
The interior is made as practical as possible; its solutions in advertising materials are called the “backpack style”. Here are simple easy-to-wash finishing materials, folding rear seats flush with the floor, an ergonomic front panel, many niches for small things.
The basic equipment of the car includes an electronic parking brake and Smart Assist III automatic braking system. As an option, a panoramic glass roof will be offered. The novelty will be available in nine different body colors.
