GAC City Pod

In 2022, GAC opened a design and R&D center in Milan. Under the guidance of Stéphane Jeanin, former designer of Renault and Infiniti, GAC presented three cars, logically united in the Car Culture 3.0 family.

The first concept is called the City Pod. Reflecting the vibrant rhythm of Milan’s streets, the City Pod is a modern interpretation of the classic 1950s Isetta, embodying a perfect fusion of ageless allure and cutting-edge functionality. The City Pod features a panoramic cockpit dome and interior elements integrated into the chassis.

This groundbreaking design incorporates a self-supporting chassis that houses the interior, batteries and powertrain, effectively eliminating blind spots and increasing interior brightness. The cleverly designed Integrated Luggage System optimizes space utilization without compromising the vehicle’s elegant interior aesthetics.
