MeV BeeAnywhere
In 2020, Manchester-based startup MeV has unveiled its BeeAnywhere electric car. Apparently, the two-seater city car was designed from the scratch to be affordable, and equal to the price of an eight-year-old used hatchback.
This is the only concrete detail we know so far, except for the fact that it is electric, of course, and will have an “innovative chassis design” with graphene-based composite body panels to reduce manufacturing costs.
MeV was founded by former European Space Agency engineer Tim Harper, who is perhaps more accustomed to supersonic engineering, and Dr. Tony Keating of the Keating Supercars startup in Bolton. We think he is the main star of this couple.
BeeAnywhere prototypes are currently being built in collaboration with the National Motorsports Development Center at the University of Bolton and the University of Manchester’s Graphene Engineering and Innovation Center. Hopefully, over time, we get more information on things like range, power and charging time.
