Wuling G050

Wuling New Energy and Japan ASF Co., Ltd. signed a contract for serial production of G050, an all-electric logistics vehicle. The prototype of Wuling G050 electric van has been developed by Chinese engineers.

The partners will also jointly promote the Chinese electric vehicle in the Japanese market. Serial production of Wuling G050 will be launched by the end of April 2023. It is planned to produce 100,000 cars within five years.

Wuling G050 is designed in accordance with Japan’s TDS certification standard and falls under the category of commercial key-car with a range of 230 km. It is the first right-hand drive Wuling model. It has a solar panel on the roof of the minivan. It also promises rich equipment and comfortable cargo space, enough for inner-city transportation.

Wuling New Energy and Japan ASF Co., Ltd. signed a framework agreement on January 6, 2022 at the RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) business leaders’ forum. The parties agreed to jointly develop new energy vehicles. The signing of the mass production cooperation agreement will accelerate Wuling New Energy’s entry into the Japanese market.
