Automirage 3

Automirage was one of Italy’s biggest beach buggy manufacturers in the 1970s, but it soon abandoned buggies in favour of microcars. The Mirage 3 was an angular glassfibre-bodied three-wheeler with a 50cc 4hp Morini engine sited in the rear, driving the single rear wheel by chain through a three-speed gearbox. It was officially described as a ‘1+1’ seater. The production started in 1976. Automirage 3 was sold very well till the end of production in 1987.
