Forward Cargo EV

The Russian company ‘Forward’ has presented a new electric 3-wheeler for the transportation of small-sized loads. The cost of the EV will be about 600,000 rubles or $8,450. In the basic version it will be able to travel up to 40 kilometers on a full battery charge. The carrying capacity is 90 kilograms.

The new electric tricycle became the first such project from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. At the International Forum of Electronic Commerce and Retail, ‘Forward’ demonstrated a version of a three-wheeled vehicle intended for the Russian Post, as evidenced by the blue color of the body. However, company representatives said that no contracts have been signed with the operator of the state postal network.

The three-wheeled vehicle is ideal for use in courier services, where the transportation of small loads is required. With its compact dimensions, the tricycle is capable of taking on board up to 90 kilograms. The vehicle is driven by a single electric motor, the characteristics of which are still unknown. The base version will have the single battery, but the design of the EV allows you to install an additional battery pack, with which the vehicle’s power reserve will double.

The maximum speed of the three-wheeled vehicle is 30 kilometers per hour. It will take about 8-10 hours to fully charge the battery.
