The first car, called the Haibao EV 2002, appeared in 2001. It was a strange looking bubble car with a giant windshield and a huge windshield wiper. It starts from the roof and reaches almost two-thirds of the windshield.
Heibao claimed a range of 110 km and a top speed of 32 km/h. Power was supplied by a set of 12V lead-acid batteries (14 pcs). The car weighed 1,080 kg, but without the battery, only 650 kg. The power was supplied from an asynchronous AC motor with a power of 12 kW.
