2000 Rover Mini Cooper

2000 Rover Mini Cooper

Sold for £16,000 - £20,000

The Mini Cooper name returned in 1990 after nearly two decades away, revived by Rover following the positive response to the limited-run RSP edition.

The reborn Cooper retained the spirit of the sixties original but gained updates over the years, including mono-point injection in 1991 and, by 1997, multi-point injection and a front-mounted radiator. Production finally ended in October 2000, marking the close of an era for one of Britain’s most beloved small cars.

This example, registered on 14 February 2000, represents one of the last Minis built. Finished in Flame Red with white bonnet stripes, a cream interior and a wooden dashboard, it was supplied new by Seward, the Hampshire Mini dealer.

The current vendor, a lifelong Mini enthusiast who has owned several since 1975, bought the car in August 2001 after spotting it at a local garage. She wasn’t planning to replace her existing car, but its immaculate condition and low mileage made it impossible to pass up.

Becoming its second owner, she used it daily until her retirement in 2004, after which the Mini was semi-retired and kept under cover in a dry carport. It has remained well maintained by the family’s trusted mechanic and, in recent years, has been used only sparingly in good weather. It was recently driven to its MoT test, which it passed with no advisories.

Now ready for a new custodian, this cherished Mini comes with a V5 registration document, a fresh MoT valid until October 2026, its original tool kit, book pack, and supporting invoices. Consigned by Baljit Singh.
