Mullen I-Go
American startup Mullen Automotive, which recently acquired a controlling stake in Bollinger Motors and the former Indiana plant of bankrupt ELMS company, has unveiled a new urban electric car. The Mullen I-Go will be available in the UK, Germany, Spain, France and Ireland. Firstly it will be available in Germany in December 2022.
In fact, I-Go wasn’t designed by Mullen. The license for the car was bought from the Chinese company Henan Henrey Shiying Vehicle. On wholesale electric car websites, this model can be purchased for $9,385. Mullen will offer it for $11,999. Moreover, the Americans plan to adapt I-Go for delivery services.
It is powered by a single electric motor on the front axle, which develops 46 horsepower and 102 Nm of torque. Top speed is electronically limited to 100 kilometers per hour. The curb weight is 795 kilograms. The 16.5 kWh battery allows you to cover up to 200 kilometers on a single charge using the NEDC methodology.
David Mishery, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mullen Automotive, says:
“Mullen’s goal has always been to build a complete line of commercial electric vehicles, and we’ve realized that one of the biggest challenges today is inefficient delivery of goods in cities. The launch of the I-Go, a fully EU homologated vehicle, opens up opportunities for the company in Europe, where there is huge demand for this type of small delivery vehicle.”
