1959 Autobianchi Bianchina Trasformabile
This 1959 Autobianchi Bianchina Trasformabile Series II was refurbished under previous ownership and purchased by the current owner from an Indiana collection in 2020.
Finished in red with a black leather interior, it is powered by an air-cooled 479cc inline-twin paired with a four-speed manual transaxle.
Notable features include a Weber carburetor, black soft top, body-color 12″ steel wheels with polished hubcaps, mirrors, and a matching body-color dashboard. The car is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner, with a California title in the owner’s name.
Based on the Fiat 500, the Bianchina was produced by Autobianchi between 1957 and 1969 in several body styles. The Trasformabile features a fixed roof profile with a retractable soft top.

This example retains its red finish, rear-hinged doors, driver-side mirror, louvered engine cover, bright trim, and chrome bumpers. The seller notes that the soft top has been replaced and the rear window shows some imperfections. Touch-ups and minor paint flaws are documented in the accompanying gallery.
Red-painted 12″ steel wheels with polished hubcaps are fitted with Trayal T-400 135/80 radial tires. The Bianchina features an independent front suspension with a transverse-leaf setup and rear trailing arms with coil springs. Drum brakes operate at all four corners.
Inside, the cabin is upholstered in black leather with front bucket seats and a rear bench. Equipment includes a body-color dashboard, black carpeting, door-panel pockets, sun visors, and a rearview mirror.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a Veglia instrument cluster, including a 70-mph speedometer with suggested shift points, warning lights, and a fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer reads 59,000 miles, with roughly 600 miles added under current ownership.
The 479cc air-cooled inline-twin engine is equipped with a single downdraft carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle. Engine stamping is visible as shown in the gallery.
The car is currently registered as Planned Non-Operation in California. The title lists the vehicle as a 1959 Fiat and is noted as a duplicate document.
