AIXAM 400 / 500 Minivan
Aixam makes its light quadricycles as big as a heavy quadricycle, whilst meeting the weight limits imposed by European legislation. In 2002, the company unveiled AIXAM 400 / 500 Minivan. The biggest minicar in the range got a 0.4 liters (5.4 bhp, 14 Nm) or 0.5 litres (9.5 bhp, 28.5 Nm) Kubota diesel engine, and 3-speed automatic gearbox. Technically the new model was identical to regular AIXAM Evolution range. Top speed is 47 mph (for AIXAM 500 Minivan). There is also a version with 505 cc petrol engine.
All Minivans have a long wheelbase of 1925 mm (as AIXAM 500 Evolution). Overall dimensions: 2865x1440x1880 mm. The main feature is a high roof and bigger rear door. There are only 2 places inside and a huge trunk in the rear. Top end versions have such options as aluminum wheels, power windows, rear windscreen wiper, etc.
