Allander Roadster 7hp
The Allander Roadster is a one-off car that was built by Claes Allander of Alingsås, Sweden in 1950. The 2-seater ugly roadster was fitted with a 2-stroke 7 hp engine. It has a rear drive and top speed of 80 kph. Length 315cm, width 140cm.
The news article from Popular Mechanics magazine announced:
“Ground Hugging Motor Car Being Made in Sweden. Cruising the streets in Stockholm is a new Swedish car, built so low it seems to glide along the ground…….. When the plant is in full operation about 50 of the cars will be turned out each week.”
