Electric Brands eBussy
Electric Brands is a German company that plans to start producing the unusual eBussy EV no later than next year.
eBussy is a small electric modular vehicle. Its design allows you to quickly change the body type, for example, from a minivan to a dump truck, a pickup truck and various other options. A total of 10 different body types will be offered.
In addition, eBussy can be easily switched from left- to right-hand drive, or if necessary, you can place the steering wheel in the center. You just need to move it. Just like on the latest generation Mercedes-Benz Unimog. This became possible due to the fact that the vehicle uses the “Drive-by-Wire” system, i.e. the steering wheel and pedals are not mechanically connected to the chassis.
All eBussy variants come with a tiny 10 kWh battery for a range of 200 km or less. For an additional fee, you can get a 30 kWh battery, which will increase the range up to 600 km. The design uses in-hub electric motors that generate only 20 hp, but at the same time have an impressive 1000 Nm torque.
But don’t look at how tiny the power is. eBussy weighs only 450 kg to 600 kg depending on the body type. Unsurprisingly, the vehicle is focused primarily on urban use.
All eBussy body options include solar panels on the roof and the vehicle also uses a brake energy recovery system. Electric Brands also plans to build its own network of charging stations.
eBussy promises to be as accessible as possible. The basic model will cost just €15,800 ($18,273). Prices, of course, vary depending on the body type chosen. The most expensive option is eBussy “Offroad Camper” that’s priced at €28,800 ($33,309).
