Fiat Cinquecento Pick-Up AH

Fiat Cinquecento Pick-Up AH

The Fiat Cinquecento Pick-Up AH is a one-of-a-kind creation by Pininfarina, developed under the guidance of Paolo Garella, who later founded Manifattura Automobili Torino.

This bespoke vehicle was commissioned for the Sultan of Brunei, famed for his vast and eclectic car collection, and represents a unique evolution of Pininfarina’s original Cinquecento Pick-Up concept first shown at the 1992 Turin Auto Salon.

Compared with its predecessor, the Cinquecento Pick-Up AH features several distinctive design elements. A roll bar spans the loading bed, giving the small pickup a rugged yet stylish presence.

The doors, inspired by the Spiaggina, are open-sectioned, creating a breezy, summer-ready feel while offering a glimpse into the interior without traditional windows. This approach adds both visual flair and a sense of leisure and exclusivity.

Finished in a deep, luxurious “Agnelli” blue, the exterior exudes understated elegance, complemented by an interior upholstered in matching blue leather for a refined and comfortable cabin.

AH logos appear throughout the vehicle—on the body, seats, and steering wheel—highlighting its exclusivity, while Pininfarina badges replace the usual Fiat emblems, emphasizing its bespoke craftsmanship.

Built as a right-hand-drive model, the car aligns with the Sultan’s preferences and regional driving norms.

Though based on the compact Cinquecento, the Pick-Up AH elevates the platform far beyond its utilitarian origins, combining practicality with high-end design.

Its creation showcases Pininfarina’s versatility and Paolo Garella’s vision in executing a truly unique, luxurious project. More than just a vehicle, the Fiat Cinquecento Pick-Up AH stands as a testament to Pininfarina’s creativity and skill, a rare gem in the Sultan’s collection, and a fascinating chapter in the history of custom automotive design.
