Imre Dongó’s city car
Imre Dongó, teacher of Bercsényi Miklós Vocational Secondary School and Grammar School in Győr, was a sports car enthusiast. In the early 1970s, he decided to make his dream car. It took ten months to make the coupe called the Wartburg GT due to the origin of the main parts and the shape of the sports car.
The next idea of Imre was a city mircocar. It featured the welded chassis and frame, MZ engine and a differential. The two-seater microcar was quickly completed, but no name was given, and no license was granted due to changes in legislation. Imre Dongó is still active, making violins as a pensioner.
