Melex 102 / 112 / 202 / 212
Founded in Mielec, Poland in 1970, Melex golf cars entered the U.S. market in June 1971. Their first cars were almost identical clones of the popular E-Z-GO made in the USA.
The golf carts could be used not only inside private arreas and golf clubs, but also on public roads. For this purpose, all the necessary lighting equipment was installed at the front and rear.
The first models were the 102 three-wheeler and 202 four-wheeler, which were in production until 1974. They were replaced by the 112 and 212. The easiest way to tell them apart is that the latter 112 and 212 had a seat brake that would activate when you got off the cart. These had the brake drum mounted on the motor until serial number 155058.
