Skyrider X6

Chinese tech company Kuickwheel, best known for its electric scooters, has unveiled the Skyrider X6 flying tricycle.

The new model recently completed a demonstration flight in Beijing, and pre-orders are already open on one of the local marketplaces. The listed price is 498,800 yuan (approximately $69,500).

For aerial travel, the Skyrider X6 is equipped with six rotors, each mounted on its own arm. The fuselage is made of carbon fiber and aviation-grade aluminum alloy.

Its 10.5 kWh battery provides roughly 20 minutes of flight time, with a maximum speed of 72 km/h (45 mph). The battery supports fast DC charging, taking about 1 hour to fully recharge.

The Skyrider X6 can take off, follow a pre-programmed route, and land autonomously. However, for more experienced pilots, a manual control mode is also available. For safety, many onboard systems feature redundancy, and the equipment includes an emergency parachute.

On the ground, the Skyrider X6 transforms into a rear-wheel-drive trike. In this mode, it can reach speeds of up to 70 km/h (43.5 mph) and offers a range of about 200 kilometers (124 miles).
