Tanghua Xiaoyaou (小雅欧)
In September 2006, Tanghua unveiled another car design, but did so internationally at the Paris Motor Show. This is where the aspect of “Westerners” becoming aware of these cars comes into play, as the silly, shoe-shaped yellow car really stood out. The media covered its appearance, albeit mostly mockingly.
The car was called Xiaoyaou (小雅欧) – with the extra character meaning Europe. We got some specifications, but compared to the “Beijing 06” version, only the dimensions changed: 2780mm × 1440mm × 1520mm (LxWxH), with the wheelbase at 1800mm. The estimated starting price was 25,000 Yuan.
