VinFast Minio Green
VinFast launched the Minio Green model and mark new entries into Vietnam’s rapidly growing electric vehicle market.
This EVs isn’t really aimed at individual consumers, but are instead intended for fleet and livery use. The Minio Green is a tiny EV that VinFast says is ideal for urban services.
This pint-sized city car is positioned below the already-small VF3, which has a rugged, mini-Jeep vibe. While the VF3 charmed many with its boxy style, the Minio Green leans into a cuter, Kei car-inspired aesthetic—and it’s just as lovable in its own way.
It’s also smaller and slower than the VF3: the Minio’s 26-horsepower motor is no match for the VF3’s 38-hp setup, and its top speed maxes out at 52 mph (85 km/h). Still, it supports DC fast charging—albeit only up to 12 kW—and AC charging at 3.3 kW. According to VinFast, the Minio Green has a range of 111 miles (180 km), though the battery size hasn’t been disclosed.
Cars like the Minio Green are being positioned as viable alternatives to motorbikes, particularly in areas where bikes are widely used as taxis. Small EVs such as the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV are already gaining popularity in Vietnam, so VinFast introducing a homegrown competitor makes perfect sense.
