Wuling Mini EV Special Edition
The electric car Wuling Hongguang Mini EV is extremely popular in China – it sells even better than the Tesla Model 3. So the Chinese “subsidiary” of SAIC-General Motors, Wuling, designs different special versions. One of them is a six-wheeled pickup.
The three-axle Hongguang Mini EV reportedly arrived by truck at one of the Wuling dealerships, and then drove out onto the street, where photo spies captured it. The electric pickup completely copies the concept car Wuling Hongguang Mini EV Special Edition, presented at the Chengdu Auto Show in the summer of 2020: the models differ only in body color.
In addition to two extra wheels and a cargo platform, an unusual version received special headlights, additional front lighting, wheel arch extensions and thick spiked tires on 12-inch rims. In the four-seater interior, everything is similar to the base Mini EV.
Nothing is known about the equipment of the pickup. Probably, it got the same 27 Hp (85 Nm of torque) electric motor and a 13.8 kilowatt-hours battery.
