Chery Little Ant Q
The Shanghai Auto Show saw the launch of Chery’s latest electric car, the Ant Q. The new version is expected to be priced at around RMB 80,000, making it a more affordable option compared to the current Chery EV Ant models, which are priced between RMB 64,999 and RMB 94,000.
The Little Ant Q maintains the small and cute style of the Little Ant series with a brand new illuminated logo in the center of the front end. The fog lamp area of the car also received a new design with a more intricate appearance.
Although the side and rear of the car have not undergone significant changes, a blackened wheel rim with dense spokes has been added to increase the sense of movement. The size of the car has not been officially announced, but it’s expected to be similar to the current Ant, which has a length, width and height of 3200/1670/1550 mm and a wheelbase of 2150 mm.
The Ant Q’s interior remains symmetrical, but features a new LCD instrument panel and a large, floating central control screen, with very few physical buttons in the car. The front row has a through-type design, adding to the car’s flexibility and interior space. In addition, some Ant Q models will be available with advanced configurations such as seat memory, heated driver’s seat and heated steering wheel.
At present, there is no official announcement regarding the power configuration of the Ant Q. The current Ant model offers two sets of power options. The 251km and 301km versions have a maximum power of 30 kW and a peak torque of 95 Nm, while the 401 km version boasts a maximum power of 55 kW and a peak torque of 150 Nm.
The Little Ant series has lithium iron phosphate batteries and ternary lithium battery packs with varying capacities. The cruising range varies depending on the version, with 251 kilometres, 301 kilometres, and 401 kilometres being the available options.
