Daihatsu Hijet Truck PTO Dump Daihatsuumei

Debuted at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, this kei truck features an extreme power take-off conversion wrapped in chrome and loaded with bespoke lighting.

The build adds a graphic livery illustrating past Hijet generations and distinctive 14-round LED taillights, all tied together under a “carnival treatment” design concept.

Between the mirror-polished inserts, custom lighting elements, and a dedicated graphic livery, it’s hard to miss.

The cargo bed is decorated with hand-drawn illustrations tracing every generation of the Hijet, along with a tribute to the classic Midget. At the back, the spectacle continues with a rear bumper packed with 14 round LED taillights.

And that’s only the beginning of the carnival theme. Additional lighting spills across the wheels, side panels, front bumper, and even the roof, making the truck look more like a rolling fairground than a work vehicle.

Inside, the atmosphere turns even more eccentric, with upholstery combining floral motifs and portraits of historic Hijet models.

The name Daihatsuumei translates from Japanese as “great inventions.”
