SS VB (Ultra Lightweight model VB)

The SS VB (Ultra Lightweight Model VB) was the second experimental microcar developed by SS Cars Ltd during World War II.

Unlike the SS VA, the VB had a more conventional, lower-slung design and already offered seating for four passengers.

It was equipped with a removable steering wheel and a folding roof, and was powered by a Ford Ten engine paired with a three-speed Ford gearbox and a two-speed transfer case. Drive was sent to the rear wheels.

The car featured independent spring suspension on all four wheels, with the rear suspension in its basic layout resembling that later used on the Jaguar E-Type.

As with the SS VA, the VB remained at the experimental stage and never entered series production.
