In 1952, António Gonçalves Baptista (AGB) from Tondela, Portugal, made the first prototype of a small car.

It had an old-fashioned design and bicycle wheels. A 2-stroke 125 cc engine was fitted.

The car became registered with the number LC-17-99. 2 years later AGB made another prototype AGB Lusito.
