Barrio Coche Ciudad (City Car)

At the Zaragoza Trade Fair in 1969, the Zaragoza-based company Manuel Barrio, SA presented this tiny microcar, called the “Coche Ciudad” (means “City Car”), measuring 1,940 mm long and 1,370 mm wide.

It was entered from the rear! It had a folding roof, a four-stroke engine and a top speed of 80 kilometres per hour.

The price at which it was to be sold was between 45,000 and 50,000 pesetas. We do not know if any more were built than the prototype shown, and there is evidence that a copy was found by a private collector in Zaragoza.
