ElectraMeccanica Solo O2 Concept
The ElectraMeccanica’s Solo EV has undergone a “concept update” that primarily changed the interior. The Canadian manufacturer reports that the tricycle has got touch screens and a new design of a dashboard. It will be shown on January 5-8 in Las Vegas at the consumer electronics trade show CES 2022. The public will be able to feel the Solo in all three variants, including the Cargo van.
The Solo O2 Concept prototype shows “the next generation design possibilities”. The convertible made its debut in November 2021 at the SEMA tuning show, then exhibited at the Los Angeles auto show, but will still appear at CES 2022.
“We’re thrilled to be back at CES and present the next chapter in ElectraMeccanica’s history,” CEO Kevin Pavlov said.
The tricycle is still undergoing testing ahead of the start of sales in the United States, slated for late 2022. The Solo will be manufactured at the Mesa Manufacturing Facility in Arizona. Circulation – 20,000 units per year. Acceptance of orders for the electric car continues with a price tag of $18,500 and an advance payment of $250. The single-seater car develops 41 kW (57 hp, 140 Nm) and drives without recharging more than 100 miles (161 km).
