HW Electro Puzzle
A new Japanese company called HW Electro, aiming to become the country’s first lightweight electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, has unveiled a van concept called Puzzle. The tiny electric vehicle, whose design is inspired by origami, is expected to go into production in 2025.
The van has tiny dimensions: it is only 3,395 mm long, 1,475 mm wide and has a wheelbase of 2,480 mm. Thus, it is more compact than the Fiat 500.
Interestingly, the panels at the front open up, giving access to the charging port as well as public connectors for charging gadgets and a first aid kit. The company believes that their electric cars will help people in case of emergencies, as their batteries can serve as power sources. In addition, there is even a scrap under the floor, which the company says can be used to save people’s lives.
The front panel of the two-seat cabin is designed to be as functional as possible, allowing each of the passengers to configure it according to their tasks. The central touchscreen supports the MyHWE app, which uses artificial intelligence to optimize delivery, cargo management and roadside assistance.
The van’s electric drivetrain is also known to limit the maximum payload capacity at 350 kg. The new product is known to be equipped with a lithium-iron-phosphate battery that provides a range of 200 km.
