Bolloré BlueCar Concept

Developed with input from Renault’s engineering team, the Bolloré Bluecar electric prototype was built by battery manufacturer Batscap.

According to the company, the BlueCar was conceived as “a car designed around a battery,” with the vehicle serving primarily as a showcase for Bolloré’s Lithium Metal Polymer battery technology rather than the other way around.

LMP battery technology was noted for its safety and long life span.

After several unsuccessful efforts to secure an industrial partner within the automotive industry, Bolloré eventually formed a joint venture with Italian design house Pininfarina to turn the concept into a production-ready model.
