The cheapest Geely has been updated and has become even more affordable
An upgraded version of the Geely Panda Mini has recently entered the Chinese market, offering significant improvements over the original model. One of the most notable features is the addition of fast charging capability and a power reserve of up to 200 kilometers on a single charge, providing users with a range that is significantly longer than the previous model.
The new model, dubbed the Dragon Edition, offers the same level of performance as the original Panda Mini, but with a more advanced battery system. The Dragon Edition features a larger 17-kilowatt-hour battery that provides up to 170 kilometers of range (CLTC), making it ideal for those who prefer a longer range or need to travel further distances.
In addition, the Dragon Edition also boasts the ability to be charged from 10% to 80% battery capacity in just half an hour, making it an attractive option for those who prioritize efficiency and convenience. Sales of electric vehicles have already begun in China, and Geely Panda Mini is no exception.
The original electric version of this popular car was released about a year ago, and initially sold for around 40,000 yuan (about 5,600 USD). However, the new Dragon Edition offers an even more attractive price point, with the same range and charging capabilities, but for a significantly lower price. This makes it an excellent choice for those looking for an affordable and environmentally friendly option.
In the wake of “price wars,” the starting price for the Panda Mini EV was reduced to an unreasonable 30,000 Yuan (4,200 dollars) six months ago. Buyers will find a highly compact body with a length of only 3.1 meters. Electric motors with either 27 or 41 horsepower are available, as well as rear-wheel drive.
A modest set of features is available: a driver’s airbag, air conditioning, keyless entry, and a media system with an 8-inch touch screen. Additional payment is required for these features. Last fall, Geely introduced a “Knight” version of the Panda Mini. The subcompact electric vehicle has a ground clearance of 17 centimeters, but the Chinese brand decided to make it even more impressive by adding features from serious SUVs – towing hooks, a ladder on the roof, and original “powerful” bumpers.
