Fiat 500e Gelateria Edition
Fiat has unveiled a new unique concept based on the 500e electric car, turning it into a tiny ice cream truck with a battery-powered compressor. The Fiat 500e Gelateria Edition has everything you need to sell ice cream scoops in “ultra-low emission” areas of Britain and other European countries.
Fiat calls this unique example “the smallest gelateria in the world”. Despite its compact size, the special 500e is capable of serving approximately 300 people per day. The custom interior features a frozen ice cream display case covered by a retro canopy. Ice cream is stored in two battery-powered freezers with a total capacity of 30 liters, and there is also a special place for cones and spoons.
For the exterior, Fiat chose a two-tone paint scheme with light blue and cream tones reminiscent of Italian gelaterias of the 50s. A similar theme was applied to the interior upholstery with “Gelateria” lettering on the cream instrument panel, fenders, doors and trunk.
It is known that the Fiat 500e is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 117 hp and traction battery of 42 kWh. The automaker has made no secret that the refrigerator’s power needs will certainly affect the standard model’s 260km WLTP range, but is keeping the new figure under wraps.
