Jason Drives an odd 1954 Martin Stationette
Another series of Jason Drives is about this so-called ‘Three-wheeled Log Cabin’. If you’re like the most car lovers the biggest question in your mind has always been ‘Why hasn’t log cabin technology been applied to cars?’ The good news — it has!
Back in 1950, Martin Stationette was developed by James V. Martin who was the author of several streamlined cars from 1930s. This 1954 Stationette was exhibited as ‘the economy car of the future’.
Inside you’ll find very odd theater style seating and a steering wheel with a big cut out. These two features helps you to get into the car. The engine is right behind the front seats. So this is a kind of rear-engined (or middle-engined) car.
