Microcar project: CEiiA MiniOne — an integrated mobility service

The two cities merging together to form ‘a massive urban archipelagos’, world’s dominant social structures in future. More than 50 such clusters are expected to rise in the world by 2040. A shared service in such clusters offer an adaptable platform for pod and attachments. A micro car package has a limited range so the pod is transferred to a different mode for a quicker commute between two cities.

In this century, we would be virtually surrounded by technology. The soft inner form shows purity of lite and outer cover show the technology supporting the life rather than complicating it. Architectural simplicity is potrayed using larger cleaner surfaces while dynamism is achieved using paper cutting and folding as an inspiration.

Recurring organic lines indicate muscles. Another group of muscles emege from the form to hold the wheels, the treatment is made in a way to show the industrial nature of the product. Hard shell opening slowly and a near vertical side gloss gives optimum contrast and offers maximum interior space. The form gives a protective feeling.

Clean end friendliness of industrial era and precision from digital era. Mischievous but pure nature of a kid in a cute little body.

Robotic friendliness for the front character. The pod has been designed with form language and details inspired from drones.
