ACOMA Super Comtesse Type 780E
In 1978, ACOMA presented its first 4-wheel microcar Super Comtesse Type 780E. It shared the same fiberglass body style with the Type 770 and was fitted with a Motobecane 48 cc type 99Z engine. Iit was installed under the driver’s seat (engines of all 3-wheelers located above the front wheel). A revising gearbox allowed a reverse gear. Hydraulic brakes were also added, and the vehicle size was increased, although this is still a one-passenger vehicle. Original cost – about $4,000. In 1981, ACOMA Super Comtesse Type 780E was replaced by a new Type 810E.
