The concept of the city electric car Ford Berliner was created in the second half of the 60s by designers of Ford of Europe, a subsidiary of the American Ford. The car was equipped with an electric motor. The power was supplied from batteries located under the passenger seats.

Ford Berliner was a four-seater, but the front row of seats was designed for adults, while the rear – for children. The official presentation took place in 1968 at the headquarters of Ford of Europe in Cologne (West Germany).

It was 2.13 m long and 1.37 m high. The only (or several) prototype was made which is now located in the German Museum of Technology.
