Vilner’s Bulgarian tuning atelier made the coolest Trabant 1.1

Vilner’s Bulgarian atelier has built a restomod of the main car of the GDR – Trabant 1.1. The small sedan got the updated interior, as well as modern headlights with daylights and integrated turn signals.

The interior of this Trabant is a combination of checkered fabric and two-layer leather. The combination is called Ivory Soft and is used on upholstery of seats and door panels. Checkered fabric is also on the dashboard, but there it is combined with black leather. Only the interior roof fabric remained original. Radio is modern, but made in retro style.

All logos of the manufacturer Sachsenring Karosseriemodule replaced by the number 21 – the favorite number of the car owner. It can be seen on the sidewalls of the body, the roof, the central pillars.

The 1990 Trabant 1.1 is powered by a 1.1-liter engine from the Volkswagen Polo. Its output is 45 horsepower and 74 Nm of torque. The unit is paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. Curb weight is 700 kilograms.
