AIXAM 400UT / 500UT

Aixam, a French maker of light quadricycles, was founded in 1983 when it took over the quadricycle maker Arola, and in 1989 it introduced a commercial range with a 500 cc engine. The 400UT and 500UT belong to that early commercial generation of the 1990s.

They used the same two-cylinder Kubota engines as the regular passenger versions, of 400 and 479 cc. The commercial models could carry 360–380 kg and weighed 400–440 kg empty, with a gross weight of up to 800 kg. Overall dimensions were 3230 × 1435 × 1580 mm. Aixam offered several body types: a chassis with a cab, a closed van (furgone) and a pick-up.
